Frequently Asked Questions
How does the Austrian Matura work?
The calculator covers only the school year shown in the result and a simplified AHS standard model. Components, counts and the passing boundary are loaded from that dated model.
What is the pre-scientific paper (VWA)?
The pre-scientific paper is included only for the explicitly supported school year and model. Later reforms and other school types are outside scope.
What is the Austrian grading system?
The grade selection follows Austria’s five-level system. Compensatory examinations and alternative examination combinations are not modelled.
What does passing the Matura with distinction mean?
The distinction and merit boundaries come from the same dated rule model as the calculation.
